HONG KONG, Sept 6 (Reuters) – In Hong Kong, the place land is at a premium and burials are costly, pet homeowners can select “inexperienced burials” at greater than a dozen animal crematoriums – an choice that Kent Luk, who runs a canine shelter, says brings compassion to their deaths.
Luk, proprietor of the town’s Paws Guardian Rescue Shelter, takes care of about 500 strays at a time. Luk finally ends up caring for lots of the canines till they die.
He says arranging a respectful funeral for his strays provides dignity on the finish of their lives. If he handed their our bodies over to the federal government, they’d find yourself at one of many metropolis’s landfills.

Joey Wong, who selected cremation for her cat, Suet Suet, stated she needed to unfold the cat’s ashes on the foot of a palm tree on her balcony.
